What does the mission mean to you?

Being part of a workforce that works tirelessly to safeguard the United States and its citizens through the national security mission is an area I have been honored to support for much of my career. It is a privilege to have been part of this distinguished community for over 17 years, helping with some of the world’s toughest intelligence problems.

What about our leadership team stands out to you?

The team is filled with not only decades of experience across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and the federal government at large, but also is comprised of mission-oriented leaders focused on amplifying the National Intelligence mission with high-value impact!

What do you love the most about your line of work?

From the beginning of my career, I have always been excited to take on tough and unique challenges. I love approaching these challenges using new and innovative techniques through technology, partnerships, and collaboration. To have led and continue to lead the development of such cutting-edge solutions in service of the National Intelligence mission and those who are at the tip of that spear is my privilege.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

“What is your legacy?” Early on I was asked what I want my legacy in the Intelligence Community to be. At the time, it seemed like a question I was too junior to think about.

But as the discussion progressed, it made me think about the ownership of not only the projects I had on hand but what my part in service to the larger community was. The vision of that larger impact is a big part of what drives me today.

What do you like to do to unwind?

Being a mother of three, it can be difficult to find time for myself and unwind. But in those rare moments when the world has stood still just enough, I love doing yoga and practicing meditation. While I’m not at an expert level for these things, they help unwind and ground me.
